Why do you enjoy teaching at SBU? "I enjoy the sense of comradarie among the faculty within the Behavioral Sciences Department and across the colleges. I am also glad for the fact that at SBU I can have genuine relationships with students."

Faith Dedications: Chris and his wife are members of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri.

Educational and Professional Background: Chris received a Master's Degrees in Marriage and Family Counseling and in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in May of 2002. Currently, he is a PhD Candidate at SWBTS, pending the completion of a dissertation. While at SWBTS, he was appointed a Teaching Fellow and taught in the Marriage and Family Counseling degree program. Prior to coming to SBU, Chris counseled couples, families, and individuals at Southcliff Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Chris now serves on the board of directors for OACAC for Polk County as well as the Secretary/Treasurer for Healthy Families, Healthy Homes board of directors.
