Why do you enjoy teaching at SBU? At SBU I get to interact with students in all kinds of settings.  Beyond the classroom, there are Psi Chi and SCJS, honor societies in the behavioral sciences, fitness at the Wellness Center, theater, music, mission teams, and athletic events.  Our students are well-rounded young adults that are a delight to be around. 

Faith Dedications: Member of First Baptist Church, Bolivar, MO; Teach 5th grade Girls in Action (G.A.s) mission group; Co-leading a SBU mission trip to Lusaka, Zambia in January 2006 and again in 2008 with husband Ben Kilpatrick

Educational and Professional Background: BA in psychology and sociology from Baylor University; MA and PhD. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Social Psychology with a minor in Quantitative Psychology; Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the National Institute of Healthcare Research, in Rockville, MD; Served as Project Director for two research projects at UCLA and the RAND corporation. Now serves as chair of the SBU Research Review Board, and as a member of the Faculty Senate.
