A. Title: School Health Education
B. Course Number: HPE 2063
C. Credit Hours: 3 Hours
D. Description: This course is designed to prepare students
for the teaching area of school health education. The focus of the
course is on the concepts, skills and methods that a health educator must
possess.

& Page, R. (2005). Comprehensive School Health Education (4th ed.),
McGraw Hill. ISBN: 0-07-284406-X. The PowerWeb/OLC Bind-in Card is not required
for this course.
III. Instructions
A. Questions should be answered in the student’s own words.
When information is used from other sources, it must be properly cited.
B. Lessons will be typewritten. E-mail me with questions
or comments. Place the course title (HPE 2063) and your name in the
subject line.
C. Organize lessons so I can readily find the answer. Include
the original question with the answer. Submit lesson ONE and wait for it
to be returned before sending others. The remainder maybe sent individually
or in bulk mailing. Postal-mail lessons to: Dr. Linda Wooderson. Southwest

D. If you are not currently employed in a school system,
use a school that you are familiar with or that is local. Identify
the school and location each time it is used.
E. When developing a lesson plan within this correspondence
course, utilize all four parts: opening, content instruction, activity,
and closure.
F. Your grade will be based upon the following criteria:

D – 330 - 384 F = 329 or below
