Shelley Kilpatrick, Ph.D.

Education and professional background: Dinwiddie received a B.A. from Langston University; an M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling, an M.A. in Christian Education, and a Ph.D. all from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He began teaching at SBU in 2006 and teaches courses in counseling and psychology. His primary areas of research interest include marriage and family, especially the role of grace and forgiveness in those relationships. Prior to coming to SBU, Dinwiddie has served as a youth minister, counselor, and teaching fellow at SWBTS. Dinwiddie also currently serves as the head coach of the SBU Men's Soccer Team.
Family: Married to Ashley, administrative assistant to the president at SBU, since 1996 and they have one daughter, Robin, born in 2006
Community involvement: Dinwiddie attends First Baptist Church-Bolivar where he teaches a core group.
