How do I change my password in GroupWise?

  • Once in GroupWise, go to tools.
  • Options
  • Security
  • Put in your old password.
  • Type in your new password.
  • Confirm the password.
  • Use this password when logging into e-mail/webmail from now on.
  • This also changes your Novell (Network-login) password.

 How do I setup an automatic signature?

  •  Go to tools
  • Options
  • Environment
  • Signature
  • Choose signature
  • Create your signature, and put your information in the box.
  • Choose either prompt before adding, or automatically add – whichever is preferred.

How do I setup an automatic response to let individuals know that I am out of the office?

  • Go to tools.
  • Rules.
  • New.
  • Name the rule.
  • Select received.
  • Select, under item types, mail.
  • Go to Add Action.
  • Select Reply.
  • Select Reply to Sender, and if you would like the message included.
  • Type in Subject and message.
  • Save.  Make sure that the box is checked on the box in order to work.
  • DON’T FORGET TO GO BACK IN, AND TURN OFF THE FUNCTION WHEN YOU GET BACK!
  • Follow the first 2 steps, and then check the box next to the rule to turn it off.  This allows you to save it for later if you wish.

How do I change the default font in GroupWise?

  •  Create a new e-mail. 
  • Go to view within that e-mail.
  • Go to HTML.
  • Choose the font type and size you wish to have.
  • On the tool bar where the font is located, go to where the font size is indicated, right click.
  • Set to default.

 How do I delete all of my trash?

  • Go into your trash folder on the left hand side of the page.
  • Right click anywhere.
  • Go to empty trash.

 How do I clean out my sent items folder?

  • Go into your sent items folder.
  • Highlight the first e-mail.
  • Go to Edit, Select All.
  • Hit the Delete key.
  • Check Delete from my mailbox.
  • Make sure you empty your trash now – all files were disposed of there. 

What if I sent out an e-mail that I need to retract?

  • Go to your sent items folder.
  • Find the e-mail.
  • Highlight the e-mail.
  • Hit the delete key.
  • Choose Recipients Mailbox.
  • This will delete the e-mail from the inbox of the person it was sent to – it will still remain in your sent items.
  • This only works if the individual has not opened the e-mail.

 You may also:

  • Use the toolbar and retract, retract and delete, resend, etc.

 I lost my toolbar at the top of the page, how do I get it back again?

  • Go to View.
  • Select Toolbar

I want to setup my e-mail to automatically open the e-mail, without having to double click every time.  How do I do this?

  • Go to View.
  • Check Quickviewer
  • If you do not want this function turned on you select it again.

 How do I search for an e-mail?

  • Use the search function on the toolbar (looks like a magnifying glass).
  • Under full text, or under from/author type in the information.
  • Under item type select mail (or the option needed).

 How can I change the color of the envelope when sending and e-mail?

  • Create a new e-mail.
  • Go to the send options tab.
  • Choose High Priority (Red), Standard (Normal), Low (Gray).

 How can I classify my e-mail as confidential?

  • Create a new e-mail.
  • Go to the send options tab.
  • Choose under classification – Confidential.
  • This will show up in the e-mail when the individual opens.
