Bob McGlasson became the associate provost for extended learning and technology services in 2012. He previously served as vice president for information and technology services since 2003. In addition, he served as director of instructional technology from 2000-2003 and as director of media services from 1990-2000. McGlasson also maintains the rank of associate professor, having taught in the communications department, teacher education department, and in the graduate education program.
As associate provost for extended learning and technology services, McGlasson is responsible for administrative computing, computer and network services, user support services, instructional technology and extended learning.
McGlasson graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1987 with a B.S. in electronic media. In 1989 he completed a M.A. in communications from Southwest Missouri State University, and in 1995 he completed a M.A. in library and information science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 2001 he completed an Ed.D. in instructional technology and distance education from Nova Southeastern University.
McGlasson and his wife, Angel, have two children and are members of Robberson Prairie Baptist Church in Willard, Missouri where they serve as Youth Ministers and Youth Sunday School teachers.
