Faculty Life Beautiful
To be eligible for the Faculty Life Beautiful Award a faculty member should deal personally and individually with students; vary and update teaching skills; exhibit Christ-like behavior in family, school, church, and social interactions; participate in worship service; be willing to go beyond the classroom to meet the needs of others; and exhibit a Christ-like lifestyle in his or her personal daily life.Orien B. Hendrex Distinguished Teacher Award
The Orien B. Hendrex Distinguished Teacher award is presented annually to a faculty member who has been judged by the previous three years' and current year's graduating classes to be outstanding in both teaching ability and personal guidance. The Board of Trustees at SBU has designated this award in memory of former Academic Dean Orien B. Hendrex.
Parkway Distinguished Professor Award
The Parkway Distinguished Professor program is sponsored by the Parkway Baptist Church in Saint Louis. SBU was invited to select an outstanding faculty member to be considered for this honor. The faculty nominee is one who has made a substantial contribution to Christian education and who has proven to be an outstanding teacher.
