Current Research Interest: How the agency conflict between managers and owners influences dividend policy.
Why do you enjoy teaching at SBU? "I enjoy teaching at SBU because there is a real spirit of unity at SBU. We are all trying to glorify Christ through excellence in academics and co-curricular activities."
Educational and Professional Background: Dr. Ellis’ area of discipline is finance. He holds degrees from the Baylor University, East Texas State University, and North Texas State University. Dr. Ellis’ prior experience includes Amarillo College, Instructor of Economics, 1980-1982, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Assistant Professor, 1982-2000, Texas Woman's University, Visiting Assistant Professor, 2000-2001. Dr. Ellis as also an account executive for Monroe Calculator Company in 1979 and a tennis teaching pro for Texoma Racquet Club from 1976 to 1977.
Faith Dedications: I worship at and belong to First Baptist Bolivar, where I have often taught Sunday School as a substitute.
Interests and Hobbies: Dr. Ellis enjoys reading and walking with his wife.
