Career Management
SECOND YEAR ~ DECIDE (Major and Job Titles) (Sophomore)
| Complete a Career Assessment. This will help you focus on your strengths, skills, and interests. Think outside the box! Just because you have a specific major does not mean that you will be working in a position that directly relates to that major. The Career Assessment will help you look at specific majors and how they fit with the health industry, business, education, fine arts, and the field of science. | |
| Attend special topic workshops and listen to guest speakers outside your major. | |
| Attend career fairs and ask more questions. Find out which organizations have internships or summer job opportunities. | |
| Ask your professors if assigned papers can relate to a field you are interested in pursuing. |
|
| Run for office or chair a committee in your club or organization. This will help you develop better communication, motivation, and conflict resolution skills. | |
| Apply for a summer job and/or internship in your field of interest. |
