Educational background:  Eldridge earned her diploma from Burge School of Nursing in 1974, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Evangel College in 1975, and a Master of Science in Nursing with a major in Nursing Administration and Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2004. Eldridge was awarded a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Leadership and Health Care Business by Rush University, Chicago, in December 2006.

Why do you enjoy teaching? " I teach for the "Ah-Ha!" moments that students experience. When a student gets excited about something new and challenging, I feel I have invested myself in the future.
