Advice for prospective students: “During your college years: seek God’s guidance when it comes to choosing your major and give it all you got.  Study hard; but have fun along the way.  You will make life-long friends and build life-long memories that are precious. You will also be building the foundation for the next stage in your life and in your chosen career. Make it a good foundation.”

Why did you choose to teach at SBU? “As alums of SBU my husband and I have a special attachment to the school and its faculty.  It is a privilege to come back to my alma mater where I can share my knowledge and skills by teaching and mentoring students in the Biology Department.”

What sets SBU apart from other universities? “The attention to spiritual matters sets SBU apart from other universities.  The recognition that God is ever-present and interested in our lives and our life choices. This guides what students and faculty/staff do in the present and how they prepare themselves for future service wherever God has called them.”
