Educational and Professional Background: Arnold earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, emphasis in Secondary Physical Education, Health Education, and Driver Education, from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri in 1980. He also has completed additional course work in 7-9 General Science Certification.

Arnold earned a Master of Science in Education, emphasis in Secondary Administration - Principalship, from Central Missouri State University in 1986. Arnold completed an EdSp, Secondary Administration - Principalship, from Central Missouri State University in 1992; an EdD, Educational Leadership - Superintendency, from Saint Louis University in 1998.

Before coming to SBU in 1998, Arnold worked in the Missouri public school system as the Principal at the Laclede County R-1 Junior/Senior High School, Marshfield Junior High School, and the Appleton City Junior/Senior High School. He was also the Assistant Principal at the Tipton Junior/Senior High; a Science Instructor at West Plains High School; and a Health, Driver Education Instructor at Owensville High School. During his time in the public school system, Arnold also coached football, baseball, basketball and track.

Faith Dedications: Arnold, an ordained deacon, and his family attend High Street Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri where he is involved in the Adult Choir, Praise Team, and Care Team.
