Church Music
With concentrations in instrumental, keyboard or vocal music, this major is a preparation for service in the church music ministry by means of specific courses and supervised field experiences. The degree in church music provides students with the basic foundations of church music concepts and skills, and prepares students for ministry in churches or for post-graduate work at seminary or graduate school.
This degree includes an emphasis on performance. Many church music majors also complete requirements for the performer's certificate, which demonstrates superior performance ability beyond the bachelor of music requirements.
