Course taught: Chorale and Chamber Singers; choral conducting; Music Methods and Materials for Teaching Middle and Secondary Schools; Choral Techniques; Music Industry I and II; Recording Techniques; Music Fundamentals; applied piano and conducting; student teacher observations.

Educational and Professional Background: Dr. Tarrant earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Cumberland College in piano, a Master of Music degree at Eastern Kentucky University in choral conducting and piano, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Memphis.

Tarrant is active in the Missouri Music Educators Association and the American Choral Directors Association. He regularly leads international performance tours for choral ensembles.  He has been director of the Missouri Music Men since 2007.

Faith dedications: Tarrant is a member of First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri. Since 2007, he has served as organist for St. Paul United Methodist Church of Springfield, Missouri.
