SBU President issues statement

Southwest Baptist University is a Christ-centered, caring academic institution. We desire for all students to uphold the moral values and ethical standards of the University as outlined in the university's Principles and Expectations. Within that, we expect students to have respect for all people, as all individuals are of worth in the eyes of God.


SBU Art Students to Present Scholarship Show

Southwest Baptist University art students will be presenting a scholarship show from Monday, Jan. 30 through Saturday, Feb. 18 in the Driskill Art Gallery on the Bolivar campus.


SBU announces Spring 2017 Chapel schedule

Southwest Baptist University welcomes students, staff and the community to spring semester Chapel and Equip services, which take place weekly at 10 a.m. on campus in Pike Auditorium through Wednesday, May 10. Chapel services, which occur on Mondays, feature corporate worship and encouragement, and Equip services, which occur on Wednesdays, focus on teaching and equipping.


SBU's Bolivar campus closed Jan. 13, 2017

Southwest Baptist University's Bolivar campus is closed Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, due to inclement weather. Classes are cancelled, and offices are closed. The area is under an Ice Storm Warning through the weekend.


Drawing held in celebration of SBU-Mountain View campus

As an incentive to boost attendance and enrollment on the Southwest Baptist University-Mountain View campus, a drawing for prizes was held at the end of the 2016 fall semester as part of the campus' 30th anniversary.


Grabowski appointed to new ASIS position

Southwest Baptist University Director of Safety and Security Mark Grabowski has been appointed as the 2017 assistant regional vice president for ASIS International, the leading organization for security professionals.


More than 90 students graduate from SBU in Bolivar

Ninety-eight undergraduate students graduated from Southwest Baptist University during commencement Friday, Dec. 16, at the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness and Sports Center on the Bolivar campus. The University holds graduation twice a year, in December and May.


Altic nominated for Outstanding Pre-Service Teacher Award

Southwest Baptist University junior Rebecca Altic was recently recognized as one of three nominees for the first MCTM Outstanding Pre-Service Teacher of Missouri Award.
