Family: My parents live in Cedar Rapids, IA and my sister is currently in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
Why did you choose to work for SBU? I choose to work for SBU because of the Christian environment which encourages me to grow in my faith and to share it with others. SBU has a family atmosphere which is a great feeling to have at work.
Favorite thing to do in Bolivar: My favorite thing to do in Bolivar is to go to the park and sit by the pond and watch the ducks.
Favorite college memory: My favorite college memory being involved in SBU’s Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team. Building close relationships to other students and faculty encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and grow both professionally and spiritually.
Hobbies: Camping, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Tips for success in first year at SBU: Get involved! If you don’t get involved you will not have the opportunity to grow to your full potential. By getting involved in whatever clubs or church that interest you will help you to get accustomed to SBU and all the university and community has to offer which will help you to adapt to college life.
Favorite professional sports team: I’m not much into professional sports, but if I did watch a professional sports team it would be the St. Louis Cardinals.
What SBU means to me: SBU is a community that encourages me to develop and maintain a strong faith and integrating it into my chosen area of study. SBU wants me to find where God wants me and will help me pursue my purpose.
What's on my iPod/music currently listening to: My iPod is a mix of Christian, country, and movie soundtracks. Right now I have been listening to Bebo Norman.
Favorite book/book currently reading: Currently the only book I have been reading on a regular basis is the Bible. I am not much of a reader, so it has to be a good book to get my attention long enough to finish it.
