My brother, Aaron, is a current SBU student and is married to Rachel, an SBU alum. My husband has a large family that lives in the area and it is fun to have them so close.

Hobbies: Shopping, going to antique stores, doing puzzles, and hanging out with friends and family

What sets SBU apart from other universities? SBU was one of only 22 schools in the entire nation to receive an "A" rating on curriculum by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni this past year.

Why did you choose to work for SBU? I had such a great experience here as a student. I wanted to help other students have a wonderful experience here as well. I wanted to help walk them and their families through the admissions process as easily as possible. I really do consider SBU my home, and I love to help make that happen for other students.

What advice do you have for prospective students? Make sure you visit each school you are seriously considering. Choosing a college is a big decision and should not be taken lightly. You wouldn't buy a car without first test-driving it. College is no different. Go visit the campus and experience what it would be like to be a student there. Meet other students, talk to the professors, and stay a night in a dorm. This will definitely help you in your decision-making process. Also, talk to those people in your life that you truly know care about you. Ask them for advice. Most importantly, pray about your decision. God will lead you in the right direction if you listen to His voice.

What is your favorite thing to do in Bolivar? I love visiting the antique stores in town to see what hidden treasures my husband and I can find!
