Family: I live with my husband, Darin, and dog, Bailey, in Willard, Missouri. My parents, older sister, brother-in-law and two nieces live in California, and my younger sister lives in Portland, Oregon.
Why did you choose to work for SBU? I was so impressed with the friendly people at SBU and their commitment to providing a Christ-centered educational environment for the students, that I knew I wanted to be a part of the SBU family.
Favorite thing to do in Bolivar: I have enjoyed spending time in a local park and getting to know what local businesses have to offer.
Favorite college memory: The friendships that I formed and the spiritual development that occurred because of those friendships. College was not just about getting an education, but also a time to begin developing into the person that God intended for me to become.
Hobbies: Spending time with my husband and family, traveling, scrap booking, reading, shopping, watching the Cardinals (St. Louis and Springfield).
Tips for success in first year at SBU: Use the resources provided for you at SBU! We all want our students to succeed and will do whatever we can to help them achieve success. Most importantly, remember Philippians 4:13.
Favorite professional sports team: Without a doubt the St. Louis Cardinals!
What SBU means to me: SBU is an amazing family of Christians serving each other with our own unique gifts and talents. Our students are such an important part of that family. Being in this Christ-centered family encourages me to remain focused on my relationship with Christ.
What's on my iPod/music currently listening to: My iPod is a mix of Christian, country and 80’s and 90’s music. Right now I have been listening to New World Son on my drive to and from work!
Favorite book/book currently reading: I enjoy reading books by Lori Wick and Beverly Lewis, but I am also a fan of James Patterson and just finished his latest book, 8th Confession.
