Education
The Teacher Education Program at Southwest Baptist University prepares teachers at the undergraduate and graduate levels for teaching in both public and Christian schools. These programs combine strong academic study with a variety of practical clinical experiences.
Graduate Education
The purpose of the Graduate Programs in Education is to provide learning experiences that will assist teachers to improve their capability to teach in elementary, middle and secondary schools and to provide training leading to the recommendation for certification for elementary, middle or secondary school building principalship and district superintendency. The program is designed to assist graduate students in attaining a number of outcomes.
Health, Physical Education and Recreation
The Health, Physical Education and Recreation department includes studies in Physical Education, and Recreation and Leisure Studies.
History and Political Science
The department of History and Political Science offers two liberal arts majors leading to baccalaureate degrees; collaborates with other departments in offering a baccalaureate degree in professional education; and provides program advisement for students who plan to enroll in law school after graduation.
