From classroom to career for business, non-traditional students and nursing students at SBU-Springfield

SBU-Springfield has been an integral part of the area education community since 1982. Offering various degree programs in business administration, nursing and occupational technology, much of the focus is on the non-traditional student.  Springfield Campus

Web enhanced, online and evening courses are offered to business and master of business administration students at SBU-Springfield. Scheduling of evening and online courses for the bachelor of science in business administration and MBA programs work well for students who are working, have a family and want to advance their career.

In 1995 Southwest Baptist University and St. John’s Health System culminated a long relationship by establishing St. John’s School of Nursing of SBU in Springfield. An associate of science in nursing (ASN ) and a bachelor of science in nursing completion program (BSN) are offered with a ninety percent placement rate for graduating ASNs. In the fall of 2004 the school of nursing officially became the College of Nursing and Health Sciences of SBU.

In additional to a full schedule of general education courses, non-traditional degrees are offered which includes an associate of applied science degree in emergency technology-basic; associate of applied science degree in emergency medical technology-paramedical; and a bachelor of applied science degree in occupational technology.

SBU-Springfield is located near the medical mile in Springfield, at 4431 S. Fremont. Students enjoy easy and safe parking and access where all classes meet in one building.
