C. Pat Taylor, Ed.D., assumed his duties as the 24th president of Southwest Baptist University on Oct. 21, 1996. Some highlights of his tenure include establishment of the Ed and Theo Clark University Success Center, Gordon and Judy Dutile Honors program, the doctorate of physical therapy program, and fundraising successes that have resulted in multiple major construction projects.
The president’s Executive Cabinet includes campus leaders from the areas of academics, administration, athletics, enrollment management, student development and university relations.
SBU is governed by a 25-member Board of Trustees. Members are elected by delegates to the Missouri Baptist Convention annual meeting.
